You’re excited about your new beginning. You’ve chosen a company that’s got Solid Management, Quality Products, Strong Payout, A Simple System, and a Winning Team. Now it’s time for you to get the show on the road.
Well, like taking of a Band-Aid, there’s 2 ways to get started – fast and slow. And if you wanna build a strong income in a short period of time, you’ve gotta be able to tell a good story about your first 30 days.
Does this mean that if you got off to a slower start you should quit? Of course not. The good news is that you can declare a “new” 30-days anytime you want.
So how exactly do you create a 30-Day Story that’ll magnetically attract people to your business?
Set An Income Target: The truth here is that you DON’T need to make $5,000 or $10,000 in your first 30 days in order to get people’s attention. $750 to $1,500 is enough to show potential. (By the way, be sure to choose a company where a good number of people are achieving this in the first 30 days. If nobody’s doing it, that is clearly a tell-tale sign…)
Get A Clear Plan From A Successful Coach: This is a MAJOR step, so pay attention. Get with someone who IS MAKING MONEY and have them show you exactly how to make your 30-DAY Target. Someone who IS MAKING MONEY understands the compensation plan and how to make it pay out. Don’t be shy here, ask them “are YOU making money?” If not, keep going up until you find someone who IS.
You wanna know:
- How many people you need to personally enroll and at what entry levels
- How do you need to place those people
- How many people do your people need to enroll
- What are the dates you need to be aware of – end of the week, end of the month, etc.
- What methods you will use to expose people to your business – online presentations, home meetings, hotel meetings, conference calls, etc.
- How many people you will need to expose in order to get to your enrollment target
- How many people you’ll need to put on your list and how many calls per day you’ll need in order to get to your exposure target
Commit to Your Plan: Believe it or not, this is where it all falls apart for most people. Why? Because this is where you really have to get to work. I don’t know why, but for some strange reason people don’t expect network marketing to be work. (I’m sure some presentations contribute to this.) But if you want to hit your target, you’re going to need to put in the extra effort.
Fact is, your 30-Day Story is so valuable, that it’s worth every effort – even if you have to put everything else on the back burner for your first 30 days, it’s so worth it. Just think about how much money your 30-Day Story will make you – you’ll be telling the story to your friends, they’ll be telling the story to their friends… The fact that you had some success will be inspirational to more than a few other folks. And this will make you even more money. That success, in turn, fires up your existing people, and draws in even more new people. And it goes on and on. All of this, because you were willing to turn on the heat and give it all you’ve got for 30-Days! Do it!
That’s it, gang. There’s nothing to it but to do it.
Just remember, your first 30-Days can be the magic that sets the tone for your entire network marketing career. So make YOUR first 30-Days count. And then, be sure to do the same for the people who join your team.
